Runner by The Laughing
(You can fast forward into 0:40 to get to the song) The Laughing lives and usually plays in Austin, Texas. I heard about them at the Fun Fun Fun Fest last year, and unfortunately won’t be there again this year. They’re really good, but since the bass guitarist is out of the band, since he decided to move and live his life in New Zealand, I feel that it may never be the same. It probably will, but still, I really liked Sean!

Pretzels, Polka, and the Pursuit of Happiness trailer
This is a preview for a film that looks at German descendants living in Texas. The tagline is “A German journey through Texas”. Interesting concept. I’ve never really seen something diaspora/immigration related with regards to the West, so it’s very intriguing that someone decided to do this. I mean, I’m sure diaspora films exist outside of Asia and Africa, but those are the only ones I’ve seen. I never really imagined there would be others. Definitely going to watch out for this.
